Read this Reviva vitamin K cream review to find out!

As a skin care fanatic, I’ve known about Reviva Labs for years (they’ve been around since 1973!). However to be completely honest with you, I was skeptical of their products for a long time. I figured that because they were so affordable, they can’t possibly be the best… or can they?

My first test of Reviva skin care products
My very first experience with Reviva was actually with their hyaluronic acid serum. It had an excellent price so I figured the potency must not be very high. Well I wrote them to ask for sample to review in an article I was writing and they graciously sent one.

Before I even got the product, I was extremely impressed with how personable and caring they were. I can see right through BS, and that’s NOT what they are about. The representative that helped me out, Anna, was so kind and caring! But what about their product?

Well as it turned out, it was the best I had ever used which contained that ingredient, no joke. So that lead me to look into their other products, including Reviva vitamin K cream.

Reviva vitamin K cream review
Well to begin our review, let’s take a look at the ingredient label to see what’s in their vitamin K cream:

Purified water, glyceryl stearate, vegetable oil, Vitamin K, stearyl stearate, lactic acid, cetyl alcohol, allantoin, lime flower extract, cetearyl alcohol, microcrystalline cellulose, methyl & propyl paraben.

These are all great natural ingredients to use. The vitamin K potency is also high up on the label (there is actually laws on vitamin K concentration in cosmetics and I believe they use the strongest allowed).

Size: Skin care products typically come in jars/bottles ranging from 1.25 ounce to 1.70 ounce. The Reviva Labs vitamin K cream comes in a 1.5 ounce container, so your getting an amount right about in the middle. That’s a great value when you consider how inexpensive each jar is!

Feedback: But instead of just going on my opinions, what do others have to say? Well I searched the web for Reviva vitamin K cream reviews to see what others were saying… and the consensus seems to be this is indeed an excellent product. Users mentioned good results with bruises, spider veins, dark circles, etc. which vitamin K creams are used for.

Conclusion: Reviva makes great vitamin K products and they should definitely be one of the brands to consider!

Many people ask me “Why should I use vitamin K for dark circles?” They ask me if it is a treatment that’s really going to work? Well, here’s what I have to say about that…

The truth about vitamin K for dark circles…
There are countless cosmetic skin conditions people have to deal with during their lifetimes. For almost all of them, we have a broad array of treatments to address them. However dark circles are different… you see there’s not much out there to treat them… except for vitamin K.

The history behind vitamin K treatment and why it works…
This vitamin was first discovered in 1929 in a study on birds, relating to their circulatory system and how this previously unknown substance affected blood clotting. It was found that vitamin K had unique properties which could help support healthy circulation.

Eventually, scientists realized it could also be beneficial in the topical form when applied to bruises, veins that looked like “spiders” and even under eye dark circles. You see, these are all cosmetic dermatological problems stemming from the capillaries directly below the skin’s surface not working as they should.

How vitamin K for dark circles works…
So how does vitamin K for dark circles actually help? Well, as you already know, the layer of skin underneath your eyes is extremely thing. So the underlying blood capillaries have a very thin cover – much thinner than elsewhere on your body. When these capillaries aren’t working properly (because they’re swollen, enlarged, blocked, etc) they can create the phenomenon we simply refer to as dark circles under eyes.

Vitamin K is reportedly known to help support healthy circulation in this area when applied in the form of a topical cream. Over a period of several weeks, it can often improve the appearance by reportedly helping to restore and rejuvenate these problematic dark capillaries.

What’s my personal opinion on this matter?
It may not be the magic bullet that works for everyone, but it is the best option we have to date. There is no surgery or anything else yet to fix this problem, so for now, this is our only effective means of addressing the issue. Using vitamin K for dark circles (usually in a 5% strength) has been known to be extremely beneficial for countless women and men across the globe. This is why it has been used for decades now and it’s popularity only continues to grow every year. It may not completely eliminate dark circles for everyone, but I do believe everyone should at least give vitamin K eye cream for dark circles a shot.

Although it’s most widely used around the eyes, did you know vitamin K cream is also used on the body for various problems? Many people use it for spider veins. When used as a spider vein cream, it reportedly helps promote healthy circulation in the problem area by strengthening the vein walls.

What type of vitamin K cream is best for you?
Basically, there are two different versions; one for dark eye circles and the other for spider veins. The first one is only used under the eyes, while the latter is used on the legs, thighs, and body. When buying a cream with vitamin K, it’s important to pick one out for one specific purpose. Why? Because vitamin K eye cream is typically a concentration of 5% or less. Meanwhile, the spider vein cream sometimes contains concentrations of 8% (which would be too strong to use around the delicate skin under the eyes).

How often should vitamin K eye cream be used?
First of all, you should speak to a doctor before starting any skin care regimen. Even though these products are over-the-counter, it’s always a good idea to speak to a professional for advice.

That being said, each manufacturer may have slightly different directions, depending on their formulation and strength. Generally speaking, vitamin K creams are used for a period of a few weeks. Some instruct users to only apply them one per day, others may say you can apply them up to three times a day. Whatever the case, make sure you follow the directions carefully because using too much might result in side effects.

How much does vitamin K cream cost?
Fortunately, it’s not very expensive. This vitamin has reportedly been used for over a century for spider vein removal. When it was first used they actually hadn’t discovered vitamin K yet, but they later found that was the active ingredient in them. Since it’s been around so long, it tends to not cost much at all. However, not many stores carry it since it’s such a specialty product, so often times people get it online.

What are the results I should expect?
Everyone is different of course, and if you have a severe case, vitamin K cream may not help much at all. However, it seems that most would agree this ingredient is the best topical treatment available for both spider veins as well as to remove dark eye circles.

In fact, many say it’s the eyes which are the biggest give away of our age. Thank goodness we now have eye cream with vitamin K and retinol!

Today most of the top eye creams for dark circles contain both of these important ingredients. Vitamin K is known to be beneficial for repairing and strengthening those under eye capillaries which give us dark circles. Meanwhile, retinol eye cream is perhaps the biggest anti aging breakthrough ever for both the prevention and treatment of eye wrinkles. Combined, they are an ultra potent and powerful duo.

Dark circles are a condition which affects not only women, but also men, of nearly every age group. I had them by the time I was twenty! With so many people being affected by this embarrassing condition, it’s no wonder that it is reportedly the second biggest dermatological complaint after zits.

Eye Wrinkle Treatment
As mentioned, this is one the first places we develop wrinkles. Crows feet creep onto our face as soon as our early twenties. We also develop fine lines under eyes as well as around them. Like most people, when I am trying to determine someone’s age, these are the things I look for first. Without them, someone can easily look ten or fifteen years younger than what they really are.

Retinol eye cream benefits us in a number of ways. First of all, it should be noted that a formulation of retinol (retinoic acid) is the active ingredient in the only wrinkle treatment which has been FDA approved to be effective. There are countless ingredients on the market, but no others have received that endorsement, nor been studied as extensively as retinol. Fortunately, retinol eye creams use non-prescription formulations of it so you don’t have the hassle and expensive associated with a trip to the doctor’s office.

Dark Circle Eye Treatment
Having dark circles under eyes is more than just an unsightly condition. Why? Because they make us look tired and worn out, like we were out last night partying (even though we weren’t!) and in turn, this can cause our bosses, clients, and customers to question us – whether they say it or not. The great thing about eye cream with vitamin K and retinol is that is aims to address this problem, too!

Vitamin K isn’t just some fad – it has been used for decades for a broad array of circulatory problems. In fact, that is what this vitamin is best known for! It helps support healthy blood clotting and our circulatory system. When it comes to dark circles, vitamin K eye cream is said to help repair and strengthen the over prominent capillaries under our eyes which give off that purple-black color.

Eye Cream With Vitamin K and Retinol
Basically, when you combine these two proven ingredients into a single cream, you get the best of both worlds; the best wrinkle fighter and the best known remedy for dark circles. Not only does it make treatment easier, but it also saves you the money it would take to buy those products separately. Fortunately, manufacturers today are realizing this and they’re using retinol in more and more vitamin K eye cream formulations.

Vitamin K is an important nutrient that comes in two different naturally occurring forms – K1 & K2. In addition to those two, there are several other synthetic forms. Let’s take a look at what it does and when vitamin K deficiency occurs.

What Does Vitamin K Do?
Reportedly the benefits of this nutrient are that it promotes healthy blood clotting, prevents calcification of heart valves/blood vessels, and helps to inhibit bones from fracturing and/or weakening. It is needed for a synthesis process which takes place in certain brain and nervous system fats. There is also research which points to vitamin K possibly helping to prevent oxidative damage, especially in the nerve cells.

In the beauty industry, this vitamin (in a topical cream form) is known for its ability to help with various cosmetic circulatory problems, such as over-prominent and malfunctioning capillaries which contribute to dark circles under the eye and spider veins on the body.

What Are The Natural Vitamin K Sources?
Vitamin K1 (phylloquinones) is produced by plants and is found in vegetables, particularly those which are green and leafy like kale, spinach, and collard greens. It is also found in tomatoes, carrots, romaine lettuce, and other foods. I read one place that roughly 90% of our K intake comes from plants, so if you consume healthy amounts of veggies like these, a vitamin K deficiency is probably unlikely.

Vitamin K2 (menaquinones) is made in our large intestine by bacteria. The vast majority of healthy adults produce enough, however if you have an abnormal abdominal system, take certain medications, or have an unhealthy liver due to drinking, deficiency is more likely.

What Are The Vitamin K Deficiency Symptoms?
First of all I would like to point out that the only way to know for sure is to talk to your doctor and get tested. I do not have a medical education so please do not interpret anything here as advice/guidance.

Bleeding Problems: bleeding gums, frequent bloody noses, excessive menstrual blood, digestive system bleeding
Circulatory Problems: you may be deficient if you have calcification (hardening) of the valves in the heart and/or your blood vessels
Susceptible To Bruising: everyone is susceptible to bruising, but if you bruise very easily, then it may be due to a vitamin K deficiency
Weak Bones: although there are a number of other deficiencies and conditions linked to fractures and brittle bones, not enough vitamin K has also been associated with such

An Important Note About Vitamin K Supplements
The Institute of Medicine has not set a Tolerable Upper Limit – or intake limit – for the natural form of vitamin K because reportedly no adverse side effects were associated with high intakes. However, a synthetic form – K3 or menadione – has been linked to dangerous side effects. That form is no longer allowed to be sold in the US, but many manufacturers still use other synthetic forms. This is why I specifically buy natural vitamins which use Vitamin K2.

Perhaps they say you have sleepy eyes? When you look in the mirror do you see dark circles? Well, then eye cream with vitamin K may be just what you need.

Why is eye cream with vitamin K beneficial?
If capillaries below the skin’s surface become weak, the blood may not flow properly through them. When it comes to the delicate skin under the eyes, the result can be backed up and leaking blood in the area… commonly referred to as dark circles. Vitamin K eye cream helps to repair and restore those blood vessels so you can get rid of your dark circles.

It is often said that the best things withstand the test of time and don’t go away. Well, vitamin K eye treatment is one of those things. This substance has been used for decades and decades to help numerous circulatory problems. In fact, an oral tablet of it is often prescribed to be taken for one week prior to surgery for many different cosmetic operations. Why? Because it helps clot the blood in a good way in order to prevent excess bleeding during and after the operation. Personally, I know I was prescribed it for every procedure I have undergone.

The top eye cream for dark circles?
As mentioned, the greatest products not only hold up over time, but they’re also popular. As it turns out, this the case with vitamin K. For years now many different eye creams have been using it as the main component of their formula to combat dark circles. Is it the top choice? Until we invent a magic wand in the future to get rid of these things, right now it appears to be the best treatment out there.

Dark under eye circles = #2 skin complaint?
Acne gets the most complaints, but guess what is number two? I recently read that under eye circles are the number two dermatological complaint. Being that they make us look old and haggard, it really comes as no surprise to me. This is especially true for us women.
This problem alone adds years to our face. With the exception of super deep wrinkles and creases, it probably is the most obvious sign of aging there is. Not to mention, it can interfere with our lives. If we walk around looking tied and drained all the time, others may not respond to us as favorably , and that goes for all areas of our lives.

How to get rid of dark circles?
Like everything in life, there is nothing that works 100% of the time for everything. But I can say based on my personal experience and what everyone else seems to be saying is that eye cream with vitamin K is not only the best option, but it is also the most cost effective way to remove dark circles under eye.

Well, it is a fat-soluble vitamin which is found in many of the foods you eat; primarily vegetables. It helps promote healthy clotting of the blood.

There are actually different types:

Vitamin K1 – This is typically in leafy greens and other vegetables. According to one paper I read, even when someone consumes 500 times the recommend daily dosage of this form, it is not toxic (but check with a doctor to make sure that is correct).

Vitamin K2 – This is actually made in your large intestines by bacteria. It is also produced during the fermentation process involved with making some foods. Therefore, rarely do people have a deficiency of it. However if the intestines aren’t working properly or there are excessive antibiotics being used for periods of time (which kills bacteria) then there could be a deficiency.

Vitamin K3, K4, and K5 – These are synthetically created and not naturally found anywhere. Because of this, there are many who advise against consuming them. One source I read said that there have been cases where a baby suffered a toxic dose of K3 and that sounds pretty scary to me, so I think I would have to agree with those that say it’s best to stick to the natural forms of vitamin K: 1 & 2.

Health Benefits of Vitamin K
First of all I would like to say that not all of the benefits listed below are “official” and some may be incorrect. I’m only summarizing the information I’ve read elsewhere, so you should most definitely speak with a doctor about any of these alleged benefits.

Hemorrhaging: Because it is known to help your body have normal blood clotting, it has been shown to be beneficial with some times of hemorrhaging.

Bones: There has been a large body of research over the years which links vitamin K with healthy bones. Supposedly it promotes a process known as calcium binding, and in turn, that assists with osteoporosis. There have been a study that point to increased vitamin K consumption resulting in less age-related hip fractures. However like many things in life, there are educated people on both sides of the argument as to what (if any) the alleged bone benefits of vitamin K are, so that is why it’s important to ask your doctor in order to make a decision.

Under Eye Dark Circles: There are a number of other benefits it is linked to, including vitamin K eye cream; many say it works wonders as a dark circles eye cream. Being that these pesky things are probably the number one sign of aging, you should definitely look into this if you have dark circles because they make you look tried and older.

Hopefully this answers your basic question as to what is vitamin K. Of course like any topic though, there is so much information about there that you will need to do your own research.

A: I’ve actually been asked this question more than once. First of all, I don’t want to play favorites with brands because I feel that is unfair. Rather, I’ll talk about what factors I believe the “best” ones have in common.

Price: If you’re like me, then this is a concern for you. The last thing you want to do is shell out your hard earned money on a treatment that may not work. Fortunately many people experience good results with vitamin K, so if you are going to spend your money on a dark circle concealer, then in my opinion this is the one to try first. The prices vary from brand to brand, but if you buy them via the net, you should be able to find products that have the right ingredients yet are still affordable.

Vitamin K Strength: I live in the US and from what I hear the strongest strength available here is five percent. Now don’t be fooled because that strength is “only” 5%… remember there are many ingredients out there which are so powerful, only an itty-bitty amount is all that’s needed to do the job. They have found this to be the ideal strength, so I wouldn’t go any higher than 5%. But I also wouldn’t advise going much lower.

Other Ingredients: There are many other ingredients out there which can help your skin. When it comes to choosing the best vitamin K eye cream, I would recommend finding one that incorporates other beneficial nutrients too. This could be aloe, vitamin D, hyaluronic acid cream, or any of the other known products out there which have been found to beneficial for the skin.

But which ingredients you prefer should be a personal preference; some people like those things, some don’t. So look for whichever ingredients you like the best. Whatever they may be, as a general rule of thumb I always say you want those which are a good skin moisturizer in order to help hydrate the delicate skin under your eye. I could be wrong, but harsh chemicals are probably not a good idea for this area.

Brand: This goes back to the first thing I said, in that I’m not going to play favorites. I would say there are at least several specialty skin care brands on the market which manufacture excellent eye cream with vitamin K. Don’t be surprised if you haven’t heard of the brands out there in this arena, because a lot of them specialize in just this problem. In fact, not many of the big brands even make dark circles cream.
